Anne Pinette was first introduced to this practice in 1995 in London when she was a student at university.  The practice quickly became an important feature in her life and kept her sane through many exam and lifestyle stresses.  In 1999 she started travelling to India to deepen her knowledge and awareness of this yoga system and in  2004 she was authorised by Sri K Pattabhi Jois to teach Ashtanga yoga. 

In 2010 she completed training for Authorisation Level II with R. Sharath Jois (grandson of the late Sri K Pattabhi Jois).  Anne continues to travel very regularly to Mysore, India to continues her studies with Sharathji and to learn the Advanced series under his tutelage.  Anne is married and has been living in Brussels for the past 17 years.  She holds a BA (Hons) degree in French and European Studies from the University of London and is the mother of two very active young girls! 


Lynne Pinette









Lynne was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1942 and never thought she would end up in Brussels, Belgium! She is the mother of Anne Pinette, and proud grandmother of Tara and Beatrice. She holds a  level II Authorisation from the KPJAYI in Mysore. She has been practicing Ashtanga yoga for over 20 years and has made numerous trips to Mysore, India to be with her teachers, Sri K Pattabhi Jois and Sharathji. 

In her previous life she was a registered nurse and specialised in midwifery. She also has a Master of Arts in Sociology and has taught nursing for many years.She continues to have a daily Ashtanga practice, and assists her daughter at Ashtanga Yoga Brussels and also teaches privately.She especially enjoys working with pregnant and postnatal mothers, and Ashtanga students of all ages. 


Adriana Hortas


Adriana began her studies in Ashtanga Yoga with Anne Pinette in 2011 after giving birth to her first little boy (she now has two boys) . From the very outset,  she felt a strong connection to the practice,  as if it had always existed in her life. It very soon became a natural daily feature in her life.

In 2015 she started making regular  trips to Mysore to study with Sharath Jois at the KPJAYI to further her understanding of the Ashtanga Yoga tradition and lineage.  Adriana has been assisting Anne and Lynne in the morning Mysore classes for the past few years and is currently teaching the begginers classes on Fridays.
