Workshop with Sharmila Desai: postponed until further notice. Please check back regularly.

Sharmila Desai was first introduced to Ashtanga yoga by Shri K. Pattabhi Jois and R. Sharath Jois in Mysore India in 1997.   She is Certified by KPJAYI to teach the Ashtanga yoga system and is the co-author of Yoga Sadhana for Mothers. Her teachings are firmly grounded with the wisdom that comes from daily devotion, a steady practice and direct study with her teachers. Sharmila views yoga as a life path meant to guide students to a deeper knowledge of self and an ability to live in harmony with the world they inhabit. She teaches traditional Mysore style Ashtanga yoga at her shala in India nestled amidst 100 year old coconut trees and the dogs her two children have rescued.
